Day 15
I am grateful for open hearts. Blending a family can go any number of ways. The way the girls have bonded so beautifully with Josh and he with them makes my heart squeeze.
They accept each other – just the way they are and have become family. The girls have begun calling Josh “Dad” naturally and he refers to them as his daughters. And Hannah has even expressed the intention to make that official legally and asked Josh to adopt her when the time is right.
It’s more than we could have hoped for and everything that we dreamed would happen as we approached this relationship with children from previous marriages.
They all have such open hearts. And I am so grateful for that.
