I am grateful for my friends. What’s interesting about friends in this stage of life is – I actually don’t get to see them nearly as much as I’d like to. There is so much.. life going on with all of us between spending time with our families, relationships with our significant others, kids, sports, school, homework, driving our kids all over Earth, THEIR social calendars and commitments, boyfriends, my kid has a cough – oh now your kid has a cough…
The amazing and best thing about the friends that I have in my life is: we all get it. We get that there are only 24 hours in a day and we are all just doing our best. We get that things pop up last minute all the time and we say “Ok.. maybe next week… Or next month… Or..” and then we sigh. I love my friends and know that regardless of how long it’s been since I’ve seen them, whether it’s been two days, two months or gulp two years, they are still a hugely important part of my life and would be there for me in a heartbeat if/when I need them. Just as I would for them. And regardless of the span of time we just pick up right where we left off. That’s a comfort I hold dear.
I am a very lucky woman blessed with wonderful friends.
